Broadsands Beach

Description:
Broadsands is a large curved sandy beach on the outskirts of Paignton. There are rock pools at the southern part of Broadsands Beach. Facilities and parking are close to the beach.

Access:
Level access from the car park to the beach promenade. On the promenade there are steps at various points to the beach and a short slipway at the northern end of the beach.
Dogs:
Dogs banned 1st May to 30th September at Broadsands.
Directions:
Broadsands is about 31 miles from Plymouth and 26 miles from Exeter. From Exeter take the A38 and shortly after Exeter take the A380 (signposted to Torquay) and follow the A380 past Newton Abbot to the outskirts of Paignton and continue on the A380 until the Tweenaways Cross crossroads and drive straight across onto the A3022. Alternatively from the Plymouth direction, take the A38 and at Marley Head turn onto the A385 (signposted to Paignton) and continue on the A385 through Totnes to the outskirts of Paignton and at the Tweenaways Cross crossroads turn right onto the A3022. Continue on the A3022 until the Windy Corner junction and turn left onto the A379 (signposted to Paignton). Just after the shops turn right (signposted to Broadsands beach carparks) and follow this road to the Broadsands Beach car park.
