Livermead Sands is a long sandy beach south of Torquay. There are no facilities or parking by the beach. Note that the beach is covered by the sea at high tide.

Directions:
Torquay is 32 miles from Plymouth and 24 miles from Exeter. From Exeter take the A38 and shortly after Exeter take the A380 (signposted to Torquay) and continue on the A380 past Newton Abbott to the outskirts of Torquay. At the Kerswell Gardens roundabout take the A3022 to Torquay and follow the A3022 to the Torre Abbey Sands sea front. Alternatively from the Plymouth direction, take the A38 and at Marley Head turn onto the A385 (signposted to Paignton) and continue on the A385 through Totnes to the outskirts of Paignton. At the Tweenaways Cross crossroads drive straight across onto the A3022 (signposted to Paignton town centre). Follow the A3022 through Paignton and north to Torquay. Park at Torre Abbey Sands and walk to Livermead, taking about 10 minutes.
