Preston Sands Beach

Description:
Preston Sands is a large sandy beach with a seafront promenade just north of Paignton. At the north end of Preston Sands there are cliffs with rocks and rock pools below the cliffs. Paignton Beach and Preston Sands Beach are joined at low tide. There is a large green behind the beach called Preston Green.

Dogs banned 1st May to 30th September. On the promenade, dogs must be on leads.
Directions:
Paignton is 24 miles from Exeter. From Exeter take the A38 and shortly after Exeter take the A380 (signposted to Torquay) and follow the A380 past Newton Abbot to the outskirts of Paignton. At the Churscombe Cross roundabout turn left onto the B3060 onto Marldon Road (signposted to Paignton) and continue on the B3060 until a junction and here turn left onto the A3022 and drive north to Preston. At Preston turn right onto Seaway Road (signposted to Sea Front) and follow this road under the railway bridge to the sea front onto the B3021, where there is some road parking by Preston Green. There are other routes to Paignton such as from Plymouth via Totnes.

There is limited road parking on the B3021 by Preston Green and there is also a turning from the B3021 onto Colin Road at the end of which is a small car park (90 spaces).
